Rose has been named the 2021 recipient of the ULI Prize for Visionaries in Urban Development. The $100,000 ULI Prize recognizes an individual who has made a distinguished contribution to community building globally, who has established visionary standards of excellence in the land use and development field, and whose commitment to creating the highest-quality built environment has led to the betterment of society. Owen Thomas, CEO of Boston Properties Inc. and former Global Chair of ULI, is donating $1 million to launch the Net Zero Imperative, which will convene Institute members to develop ideas and strategies for decarbonizing the built environment.

The Net Zero Imperative will sponsor technical assistance panels in multiple locations worldwide each year, bringing together public- and private-sector leaders to develop a roadmap to accelerate decarbonization efforts for the panel sponsors and the greater community. Find out more.
