PCC’s Downtown Campus has recently undergone major expansion of the campus footprint with the addition of two multi-story, state of the art facilities housing the College’s Center of Excellence for Applied Technology. With these new 150,000+ sq ft facilities, automotive, welding, robotics, CAD and machining programs are expanding, increasing interest in all programs at the Downtown Campus. The Downtown Campus is close to the University of Arizona, Tucson’s bustling and growing Downtown Business District, in the Center of the City’s Thrive in the ‘05 initiative, and is served by several major bus lines including the future bus rapid transit route. The project site known as the Drachman Properties, is a part of Tucson’s Historic Miracle Mile Strip. This area was formerly used by motels to serve travelers along the northern edge of the city.
