New Urban Land Institute Report Explores Impact of COVID-19 on Real Estate Industry
The pandemic and growing awareness of racial justice issues in the U.S. has had a profound impact on real estate operations, according to a
Urban Land Institute (ULI), the oldest and largest network of cross-disciplinary real estate and land use experts in the world, seeks a talented and insightful Senior Vice President of Human Resources to advance best practices across human resources functions as well as infuse Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) practices throughout the global operations of ULI as it develops its worldwide reach and navigates a rapidly changing landscape.

With global headquarters in Washington, DC, ULI has a presence in three regions – the Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific. ULI’s Global Strategic Plan to strengthen member engagement and expand member impact is advanced through a staff of 250, 36 of whom are located internationally. Reporting to ULI’s Global CEO and a member of the senior leadership team, the Senior Vice President of Human Resources (SVP/HR) manages a team of six and serves as a strategic partner to ULI’s global leadership and operations.

The Position
An integral part of the senior leadership team, the SVP/HR leads outstanding human resource management, developing and implementing strategies and services that drive high levels of employee engagement and empowerment, contributing to the success of the organization and employees. The successful candidate will lead efforts to position ULI as an organization where high quality and motivated staff want to work and contribute to its mission.

The SVP/HR will provide leadership at the highest level, reporting to the Global CEO of ULI and strategically partnering with eight senior leadership team members encompassing the leadership of other ULI geographic regions and representing the areas of Marketing, Business Operations, External Relations, and Finance. The SVP/HR will directly manage a team of six (one in the UK), including a VP, HR Process and Operations. Primary responsibilities include:

The SVP/HR may travel within the District Council network (Americas) with occasional Europe or Asia trips to meet stakeholders and staff to ensure a complete understanding of local needs and requirements.
