The NEXT Leadership Initiative has a busy calendar of events scheduled during the 2014 Fall Meeting in New York. The events will combine content sessions, networking receptions and the inaugural NEXT Leadership Initiative Summit, where participants will hear directly from ULI’s senior leadership.

Concurrent Session: NEXT Leadership Initiative presents Gen X Comes of Age: Leadership Styles of the Next Generation
Tuesday, October 21
1:00 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.
Javits Center
This concurrent session is open to all meeting delegates and will explore how gen X’s leadership and management style will affect the real estate industry as the group takes over the reins from the retiring baby boomers. The session will look at how gen Xers manage and lead differently, and how they use technology, connectivity, and globalization to influence the way they lead.

Networking: NEXT Leadership Initiative Cocktail Reception
Tuesday, October 21
9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
This invitation-only cocktail reception will enable participants in NEXT Leadership Initiative to meet and network.

NEXT Leadership Initiative Inaugural Summit
Thursday, October 23
4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
The invitation-only Inaugural Summit will enable NEXT Leadership Initiative participants to hear from ULI Global CEO Patrick L. Phillips and engage with a group of ULI Trustees (current and former) and ULI Foundation Governors. Through a facilitated discussion, participants will explore the topic of change, and how to harness the power of change, as it impacts the midpoints of careers.
