The Gravity Project is an innovative, first of its kind mixed-use community in the East Franklinton neighborhood of Columbus, OH. Centered on wellbeing, impact, and creative expression, Gravity seeks to elevate the lives of those that live, work, and interact with the community. Situated on 4.33 acres and adject to downtown Columbus’ CBD, the Project contains 234 multifamily units (36 of which are reserved for those making between 80% – 100% of the Columbus Area Median Income), 48,500 SF of Class A office space, 37,000 SF of retail, and a 564-space structured parking garage.
Impact-oriented commercial tenants include Roosevelt Coffee, a non-profit coffee shop which fights human trafficking, Pelotonia, a charity bike ride that raises $30m a year to support cancer research, and Cova, an innovative co-working space. The Project includes multiple works of art from artists all over the world, including Eduardo Kobra from Brazil, as well as other numerous local Columbus artists. Gravity also has an outdoor movie wall, a dog park, a living green wall, and communal rooftop terraces.
Lastly, Gravity offers unique and first-of-its kind programming that is open to all residents and members of the surrounding community; hosting events ranging from meditation classes to wine tastings, symphony orchestra performances to CBD workshops, and many more in-between. In a neighborhood recently lifted out of the floodplain thanks to the construction of a floodwall, Gravity successfully transformed an outdated retail/warehouse building and standalone restaurant into a mixed-use project that acts as a gateway to this once-forgotten neighborhood.
